Krishna Janmashtami is the grandest of all Vaishnava festivals. On August 28, the celebration begins at 4.30 a.m with mangal-arati.  Followed by Krishna Bhajan, Akhanda Kirtan, Mahamantra Chanting (108 steps), Abhishek (By Donors), Maha Abhishek and mid-night Aarti, there is free prasadam distribution to all the devotees/ visitors the whole day. All day, there are readings from the Krishna Book and bhajans in the temple room. In the kitchen, devotees prepare a big feast of at least 108 varieties of preparations to be offered to Krishna at midnight.

A 50,000 square foot main tent is being erected for the main evening programme of kirtan, bhajan, drama, dance, lecture and abhishek at Nattha Singh Vatika Grounds (behind Punjabi Bagh Club). For the inquisitive young visitors, we offer a special tent hosted by the ISKCON Youth Forum, ISKCON Girls Forum, Bhakta Prahlad school and alike. They offer transcendental fun like you’ve never tasted before: chanting Hare Krishna to modern beats, entertaining skits, Krishna ring-tones, Eye-opening books and much more.

The grand abhishek (bathing the Deity with auspicious substances) which is at 10.30 p.m and the midnight arati are highlights of the evening Temple programme. Come and experience the transcendental pleasures in chanting, feasting, hearing Krishna katha and taking part in numerous cultural events during the Janmastami festivities. You are specially invited to Nandotsava and Srila Prabhupada's Vyasa Puja on the following day (29th Aug’12).
