Event Description : 'The Rabbi’s Cat (Le Chat du Rabbin)' animation film screening. 
Alger, 1920s’. Rabbi Sfar lives with his daughter Zlabya, a loud parrot, and a naughty cat that eats the parrot and starts speaking only to say lies. The Rabbi wants to make him go away. But the cat, crazy in love with his little mistress, is ready to do anything to stay with her… even getting his “Bar Mitsva”! The Rabbi has to teach his cat the fundamentals of the Mosaic Law! A letter tells Rabbi that to keep his position; he has to submit himself to a French test. In order to help him, the cat commits sacrilege to invoke the Lord. The Rabbi passed his exam, but the cat cannot speak anymore. He is again treated as any common animal. His only friend is a Russian painter that searches for a fantasy Jerusalem where blacks Jews would be living. He succeeded into convincing Rabbi, a former Tsar’s soldier, a singer and the cat to join him along …
