NATO is preparing to withdraw its troops from Afghanistan by end of 2014. Earlier, it was planned that after the completion of the NATO mission in the Afghanistan, United States will leave a few thousand
soldiers to train and support the Afghan army. On July 9, media reported that Washington is not only considering the option of early withdrawal of its troops, but did not rule out a complete withdrawal from
Afghanistan. This report has given rise to many questions which concern various stakeholders. What awaits Afghanistan after 2014? What will be the scenario for the development of Afghanistan and regional
security. What kind of challenges lie ahead for Russia, India and other neighboring countries? How strong is the position of the Afghan leadership? Can we expect a revival of "Taliban" and a repeat of the 90s.
