Event Details : Milaan NGO presents "Khwabo Ka Pitara" a storytelling with song & music performance by Neelesh Misra Celebrating 5 Years of Educating Children, Enabling Youth and Empowering Communities.
Our organization Milaan, completes five years of working with children and to celebrate this milestone, we are organizing a storytelling with song & music performance by Neelesh Misra. Through the event, we also wish to thank all the people who have stood by us through the good and the bad times, recognizing their vital importance to our work. Also, share with the larger world the importance of Milaan’s work on education in these remote rural parts of India and raise the resources to bring 50 school dropout girls back into school and make sure they are learning well. We believe educating a girl is educating a future family and that an educated women is better able to manage her family and take a more meaningful part in her community. Milaan invites organizations /individuals to share a slice of their resources and help our girls lead the change.
Neelesh is an Indian journalist, author, radio storyteller, script writer and lyricist, photographer and the Deputy Executive Editor of Hindustan Times who also heads India's first writer led band called Nine where storytelling meets song. “Yaad Sheher with Neelesh Misra” is India’s first ever radio show of its kind, where he connects with his audience through his imaginary city called “Yaad Sheher”, a place built from memories that everyone, in some way, can relate to. Memories that stay with us, that we want to relive and hold on to in the midst of the humdrum of our busy everyday life.
