21st June : Asad Ali Khan- A Portrait
Director : Renuka George
The film is a portrait of the great Rudra Veena maestro, Ustad Asad Ali Khan. Through the film we discover Khan's family history, from the Rampur court to New Delhi where he lived with his adopted son Zaki Haider.
22nd June : Siddeshwari
Director : Mani Kaul
Based on the life of renowned thumri singer Siddheshwari Devi, an exponent of the Banaras Gharana, the film focuses on how the singer came to be immersed in classical music and key events in her life such as her early years of training and her struggle to survive as a single mother.
23rd June : The Musical Journey of Begum Akhtar An audio visual presentation by Vidushi Shanti
Hiranand, senior disciple of Begum Akhtar Collab: All India Radio
24th June : Dhrupad
Director : Mani Kaul
Featuring: Fariduddin Dagar & Zia Mohiyuddin Dagar
Dhrupad finds Kaul studying the eponymous classical music form of Dhrupad, specifically the Dagarvani variation of it practiced by the Dagar family, with whom the director had close associations.
