Event Description: The program details are as follows:
1. Writing for the audio-visual media
2. Documentary genres and Screening of film excerpts
3. Journey of a Film: Ideation-->Point of view-->Research etc.
4. Break-out session: Hands-on exercise and presentation
Conducted by : Ms.Suman Bajaj Kalra.
Ms.Kalra is a award winning documentary film maker, TV professional, trainer, scriptwriter, and media consultant.
She has worked with Doordarshan for 23 years and left it as Controller of Programs in the Directorate General of Doordarshan.
She has produced programmes and films for some well-known foreign channels as well - BBC-UK, NHK-Japan, CCTV-China, TF1-France and German television network.
She was the Festival Director and Curator for Global Festival of Documentary Films in 2009, and also been invited to attend the Cannes Film Festival, MIP TV Festival at Cannes, and International Film Festival of India for several years as a delegate.
She has held scriptwriting workshops at FTII , Pune, as Guest Faculty and was also the Dean of Asian School of Media Studies, a degree colleges for undergrad & Masters studies.
