Event Details : 'Desires that Transcend' a group exhibition by Mukesh Sah, Mitrarun Haldar, Mona Ghosh, Vijay Kale and Suresh Kumar.

Meet the artists:
Artist Mitrarun Haldar believes that hands-on work creates an intense feeling and an aura of togetherness which is not found in other forms of creation. In 1994, he had started working on flat surface with acrylic and mix-media. His logical interest and self belief got fortified during this period.
Artist Mona Ghosh began painting in 1980. She has had solo shows in Kolkata, Delhi, Kathmandu and USA. She has participated in several shows at National Gallery of Modern Art, Mumbai, and Salar Jung museum, Hyderabad, and at Gajaha gallery, Singapore. She has been awarded national scholarship for painting and the Bharat Nirman award for art and painting 2004. she works on mixed media.
A self taught artist, Mukesh Sah, loves doing stylized figurative work - the female forms and landscapes being his favourites. Has held several group shows in Allahabad, Lucknow and Delhi. Had his first solo show called “imprints on mind” in Allahabad, Paintings on display here are from his series titled ‘A parrot named desire’ acrylic on canvas.
Sculptor Suresh Kumar has seventy nine group shows in all over India and twenty five camps to his credit. A teacher by profession he has had sixty eight of his work on art shown in collection national, international and various art institutions and art lover in India and abroad.
Born in 1976, Vijay Kale started painting since 1999 while studying painting in government collage of fine art, Indore. He has participated in several group shows.
