Event Details : 'Electronica - Gebrüder Teichmann & Nucleya'.
Gebrüder Teichmann are on a mission to South Asia to understand the bubbling electronica scene and look at future collaborations. They have been part of two multicultural projects initiated by Goethe-Institutes in Africa and South-East Asia.
Together with the Indian act Nucleya, the German DJ duo will perform following the launch of HUB - India's first book on electronic music.
Gebrüder Teichmann
DJ-brothers Andi and Hannes Teichmann are the founding members of the band Beige GT which would grow to national and international fame after their debut album “Jukebox Heroes”. As electronic music producers they founded their own record label Festplatten and also released on internationally acclaimed labels such as Kompakt (Cologne) or l´Age D´or (Hamburg).
Nucleya
Nucleya is founded by Udyan Sagar, who started his musical journey towards the end of 1990‘s when he co-founded Bandish Projekt. Since then, he has released 14 Singles, a studio album Bhor and numerous collaborations. There are 4 more international releases lined up for this year. Nucleya has frequently made it on the playlists of BBC Radio 1 – UK and has performed at numerous prestigious festivals and events around the world. Nucleya has also recently released a new album with HMV India – “Horn Ok Please”.
Performances start following the launch of HUB at 6.30pm.
HUB is India’s first and only anthology of electronic music – a legitimate record of everything that’s past and currently happening in terms of music, artists, events and more. The book hopes to create further awareness of Indian electronica via distribution of information, which has not been done before. The published material will serve as an official statement for and about the people involved in this field and will enable cross-cultural exchange of artists and ideas. The launch will feature the artists Lionel Dentan & Samrat B from India.
