‘The Lover’ written by Harold Pinter in 1963 , one of the pioneering British Playwrights  of post war England , explores the deceptive dark alleys of desire in the life of an urban middle class married couple , Richard and Sarah, trapped in each others fantasy. The play quite literary transforms the drudgery of this couple’s everyday experience into a libidinal economy of role-playing whose sole function is to activate two otherwise inert subjects into two living, loving sensuous creatures of flesh and blood. In the classic Pinteresque form, the play unfolds the existence of a lover who intrudes into the life of these two unassuming characters – a lover whose existence is only in the realm of imagination.

    all excellent but Sandhyaa (Pujya Ghosh) was very boring. She dont know how to act.

    very well done, Rajat (Rishi Kumar) was very impressive. Though, the lady opposite him needs to learn a lot more.
