Event Details : 'The Golden Earth' 40 studio potters from India and Australia come together in an exclusive international exhibition being jointly organized by the Delhi Blue Pottery Trust & Marketing Solutions.

Called The Golden Earth, this unique exhibition is woven together on the theme of gold on ceramic and clay … 18 carat of glaze, luster, sheen or filigree.

Delhi Blue Art Pottery was started in New Delhi, in 1952 by Sardar Gurcharan Singh, who subsequently founded the Trust in 1991. Being in the field of pottery promotion for more than half a century, the organization presently runs two studios, organises workshops, lectures and exhibitions and has brought into its fold ceramic artists from all over India and abroad, through its various programmes. Exchange of ideas and techniques and putting on view a wide selection of work from Australia and India, is the theme of the forthcoming event - ‘Golden Earth’, an exhibition of contemporary ceramics.The theme has been developed to bring into focus the importance of the

world we are living in, and of the earth, which provides for all. To venerate what it gives us, the exhibition is a showcase of art works made from the earth’s bounty.

Delhi Blue is committed to bringing together ceramic artists to share ideas and also talk about the future of this art form. Fourteen artists, under the banner of Ceramics Victoria Inc., under the aegis of the Australia India Council, will be travelling from Australia to New Delhi, to interact with their Indian counterparts and the general public. Some of the leading ceramic artists from all over India will also be present during this event.
