Event Details : To commemorate the bicentennial of the independence of Mexico, the centennial of the Mexican Revolution and 60 years of diplomatic relations between India and Mexico, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, the Embassy of Mexico in India, and Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi, present ‘An Eye for an Eye’ Contemporary Photography On Mexico and India by Graciela Iturbide and Raghu Rai.
It is an exhibition of contemporary photography, showcasing a dialogue between two of the finest and most influential photographers of the world: Raghu Rai from India and Graciela Iturbide from Mexico. Both artists share a unique relation with the lens and this exhibition will give us a glimpse of both Mexico and India as seen through the eyes of these masters.
Graciela Iturbide will be present for the opening and available for interviews from August 27 to September 4. Ms. Iturbide and Raghu Rai will also be available for interviews via email.
This exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mexico), the National Council for Culture and the Arts (Mexico), the Indian Council for Cultural Relations the Embassy of Mexico in India, the López Quiroga Gallery in Mexico City, the Instituto Cervantes, New Delhi and CINÉPOLIS-India.
