All participants must be pre-registered. Last date to register is 9th December, 2009.
Sessions are running parallel in the given time slots, so participants may give their preference
for Session 1 or Session 2, and Session 3 or Session 4 during registration itself.
Lunch will be served to all participants.
Information-Kits will be provided to all participants.
All participants attending the workshops will receive a certificate of participation.
All participants must carry a photo- identification with them to enter The American Center. Cell
phones and laptops are allowed inside the Center.

Workshop Details : One Day Workshop which to focuses on building skills and sharing strategies on how practitioners and young activists address issues of violence and trauma within our communities with with Dr. Karen Singleton (Director of the Columbia University Sexual Violence Prevention & Response Program) and Dr. Suraiya Baluch (Director of Princeton University’s Sexual Harassment/Assault Advising, Resources and Education (SHARE)
A special one-day workshop that  In light of the increasing support services and dialogue needed in our work to address counselling, volunteering and particularly working with children and young people who have suffered trauma and violence in specific contexts, the one day workshop aims to being together different
organizations, NGOs and individuals to share best practises and experiences and with each other.
The sessions are based on the following themes:
Strategies for counselors working with traumatized and victimized children, in particular those who
live on the street, and those who have lived in red light areas
Developing Consent Campaigns
Developing Campus-Based Anti-Violence Programs
Sexual Assault and Relationship Workshop
The organizers believe that a key part of the learning and outcomes from the workshop will also be collectively generated by individuals, organizations and experts sharing strategies together and thus would stress the importance of having participation that is both informed and interactive. The sessions would also be
meeting ground for a range of institutions working in the field.
