  • Synopsis : Just as the postmodern civilization stands for technology, it has also brought decadency and fall. Our infallible heritage, traditional values and beliefs are crumbling down. Like a gruesome epidemic, slums are clustering around the huge megalopolis. Who are these slum dwellers and that unfathomable magic that is transforming the ordinary farmers to unorganized labor and then to lumpen proletariat? Is not there any remedy or any revolt?
  • The play Hari Bhari Khwahish, which is an inspiration from Tennessee William’s “A Streetcar Named Desire”, portrays life in city slums and reveals how human lust and humanity lead to inhumanity and violence.
