Sunit Tandon introduces a live recording of a star-studded production of this popular opera. Set in Rome at the time of Napoleon’s invasion of Italy, Tosca is a true melodrama, full of passion and jealousy, telling the tragic story of the tempestuous opera singer Floria Tosca, as she fights to save her lover Cavaradossi from the sadistic police chief Scarpia. Before the screening commences, India’s leading tenor Anando Mukerjee will be singing excerpts from the opera Live.
