Event Description : Get ready to groove to one of India’s most creative bands-Kendraka. A four member composition, with Mainak “Bumpy” Nag Chowdhury on Bass and Vocals, Ratul Shankar Ghoshon Percussion and Latin Percussion, Gaurab “Gaboo” Chatterjee on Drums and Vocals and Bodhisattwa Ghosh on Electric Guitar. The Kendraka experience will take you through the confluence of different cultures- Hindustani & Carnatic classical music, the hardcore rural folk of West Bengal, as well as of that of Purulia and Bankura, as well as the urban folk of Kolkata, Jazz, Rock, Blues, RnB. It even integrates the Indian classical dance formBharatanatyam into some compositions. This band is a powerhouse of creativity, where each artist brings in personal inspirations, which have under gone thematic metamorphosis. Inspired by the urban sounds of their home city, Kolkata, this band brings a unique musical language.
