Event Description :
Art for Concern, the affordable show of Indian art, will be held on February 22 nd & 23 rd at Visual Arts Gallery , India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Organised by Secure Giving Events in aid of Concern India Foundation, the latest edition of the show promises to be a rich aesthetic event for avid art collectors in the city.

A fundraising initiative at its core, Art for Concern was initiated in 1998 and has carved a niche for itself by displaying the work of young, upcoming artists alongside that of well established names.
Paintings and sculptures by over 45 artists from across the country will be on display; all are priced under Rs. 1,50,000/- with most works being priced in the range of Rs. 45,000/- to Rs. 75,000/-, providing a rare opportunity for enthusiasts to get a hold of pieces by the likes of Ram Kumar, Manu Parekh, Jogen Chowdhury, Lalu Prasad Shaw, Suvaprasanna, Dhiraj Choudhary, Chameli Ramachandran, Gogi Saroj Pal and T. Vaikuntam at affordable rates.

Radhika Gulati, Director at Secure Giving Events says, “Every year we are both surprised and touched by the number of people who attend our exhibition. Our patrons continue to support us because we put up excellent artworks but I feel the philanthropic mission is a key motivator. Our supporters not only have an opportunity to add to their art collections but also to benefit underprivileged communities while doing so.”

The proceeds from the show go towards Concern India Foundation, a non-profit charitable trust that provides financial and non-financial aid to grassroots NGOs, aiming to make the disadvantaged self-reliant and enable them to lead a life of dignity.
Set up in 1991, Concern India Foundation currently supports 300 grassroots programmes in the areas of education, health and community development, reaching out to over 1,30,000 people across India.
