Event Description : Shovana Narayan, Padmashri & Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee, Kathak Guru & IAAS (retd) presents “Colours of Reflections” by Asavari Repertory

Spring brings with it hope, desire, promise of fulfilment for there is always an eternal longing to belong, to love and be loved! Eternal longing for union with the Divine! Eternal longing to take refuge in the Ultimate! This Ultimate can the inner eye see when enveloped in the pure notes of the flute, the constant companion of Lord Krishna! It is in such submergence that man-made barriers of egoism, lust for power and discrimination are set aside. Fascinated with the various dimensions that spring along with ‘Holi’ offer us, Shovana Narayan along with my Asavari Repertory of dancers and musicians will be presenting an evening of dances, ‘Colours of  Reflections’ based on poems of Kabir, Ratnakar, Amir Khusro etc.
