Event Description : EXHIBITION : Dicky Singh | Solo Show
The first exhibition of wildlife photography by one of India's leading conservationists Dicky Singh. Sponsored by the Wildlife Conservation Trust this is an exhibition with a twist; photographs playfully displayed in the unusual setting of the theatre. Enjoy the drama as the narratives reveal themselves.
About the photographer:
The name Dicky Singh has become synonymous with tigers and natural history in Ranthambhore National Park and Tiger Reserve. For over two decades Dicky Singh has been documenting generations of wild tigers through his lens and can draw many a family tree of tigers from his expansive photo stock. He is revered by many in the local community, which encompass Ranthambhore National Park. Like Fateh Singh before him, Dicky Singh is one of the ‘good guys and gals’, a small but vital group of steadfast individuals fighting to protect India’s heritage both now and for future generations.
The exhibition at Oddbird Theatre will display some of Dicky’s most iconic moments, photographs that have appeared in India’s national newspapers and in conservation reports alike.
Curator Laura Williams:
Owns the Art Gallery Art 18|21 which is based between the Uk, France and India. The Gallery holds around three major exhibitions of contemporary art throughout the year and pop up shows as and when exciting projects come along.
Oddbird Theatre is a Collaborative centre for the arts hosting a range of acting and dance performances.
