Event Description :
EXHIBITION 'Legacy for Humanity' solo show of paintings by Hena Chakraborty.

Quickly approaching is a painting exhibition by renowned artist Hena Chakraborty. Her exhibition ''A Legacy for Humanity'' is deeply based on the life philosophy and the timeless legacy of Mahatma Gandhi. There are 35 paintings both in oil and water colour medium depicting the Mahatma's eternal message of truth, non violence and peace.

About the Artist : About the artist and her work, Hena is a gritty and determined person steeped in tradition as well as in tune with the present times. Initiated in Gandhian values through her work as an artist and curator of GSDS (Gandhi Smriti & Darshan Samiti) she has put the life and message of Gandhiji on canvas and brought out the various facets of his life and philosophy and turned it into something extraordinary with her iridescent brush strokes and dynamic sense of design. The artist feels that in these violence torn times Mahatmaji's thoughts and ideologies has the key to all the maladies and feels that it is a moral responsibility of the art community to spread the message of peace, goodwill and harmonious co-existence as taught to us by our dear Bapu.
