Event Description : DANCE : Utsav -Ranjana’s Odissi Dance Academy presents "Saare Jahan Se Achha 2017" 

Utsav-Ranjana’s Odissi Dance Academy is among the foremost cultural institutions of the country, which is working in the field of dance for the last 30 years in Delhi. The internationally renowned and highly accomplished Odissi artist, Smt Ranjana Gauhar, Padmashri and SNA Awardee, is the Founder-President of Utsav, who has contributed tremendously to propagate and popularise Indian art and culture through performances, seminars, and organizing dance festivals.
Under the inspirational guidance of Smt Ranjana Gauhar, Utsav has grown to its full potential, which encourages upcoming artists and musicians from across India as well as from abroad by providing a national platform to perform. These cultural initiatives of Utsav are carried out through its calendar events and festivals such as Unbound Beats of India, Su-Tarang and Saare Jahan Se Accha, which is a two day festival of Indian classical dance where renowned artists pay tribute to the nation and celebrate the historic occasion.
This year, in the 12 th edition of Saare Jahan Se Accha, the theme of the festival is on the Guru Shishya Parampara titled “Bimb-Pratibimb”, which will underline the many-layered Guru-Shishya bond. The presentations will have both the Guru and Shishya perform, which will be a unique and mesmerizing experience for the rasikas and the art lovers.
Utsav will present 5 different styles of classical dances namely Odissi, Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Sattriya and Kuchipudi, where the Guru will lead the disciples to unleash the brilliance of the Guru’s training and merge with the philosophy and objective, which the Guru has set in the art of dance and life.
