Event Description : THEATRE "Agla Station Lok Kalyan Marg hai" Hindi Play. 

The Play 
This work is an experimental, devised performance piece responding to the systemic violence and mob-lynchings in the country. Through Rajesh Joshi's poems the play seeks to understand what is this group of people called mob, When does a crowd become a mob? To what extent does one take liberty of being part of a mob? What happens to the conscience of the person who is part of the mob?

The poems that we have used are : Wali Dhakhini, Shasak hone ki Ichcha, Maare Jayenge, Bijli ka meter padhne wale se Batcheet, Andhre ke baare mein kuchh vakya.

The Team
We are an ensemble of theatre and movement practitioners (alumni of AUD, DU and Jamia Millia Islamia) based out of Delhi. We are a not for profit group passionately involved in theatre for social change. 

The Directors 
Sukriti is a theatre practitioner/activist based in Delhi. An alumnus of Jesus and Mary College, University of Delhi, she did her masters in English Literature in 2012. Recently she completed her second masters in Performance Studies from Ambedkar University, Delhi. In the past, she has been associated with socially and culturally active theatre groups and companies in Delhi (Third Space Collective, Jumbish, Bigul), Haryana (HGVS, Jan Natya Manch, Kurukshetra) and Mumbai (Theatre Professionals). She has worked in the capacity of theatre facilitator at The Heritage School (Rohini and Vasant Kunj) and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee college, University of Delhi and continues to work with children/young adults belonging to different age groups and social backgrounds. 

Rashi is a post-graduate in Conflict and Peace Studies from JMI. She has worked in the social sector with organisations such as Kalpavriksh (Pune) and Pravah (Delhi). Rashi has been actively involved in theatre since her graduation days in Delhi University. She has also worked with groups such as Jumbish Arts (JNU) in various capacities. She has recently taken admission in MA Performance Studies, Tisch School of Arts, NYU. 

Sukriti and Rashi have been doing theatre together since 2009, being part of the same theatre society Abhivyakti of Maitreyi College, Delhi University. In 2016, they worked on a project together wherein they facilitated a two-month long production oriented theatre workshop ​with young adults of The Mirror Theatre Group based in New Delhi. They directed and scripted​ the play ​‘​Enter At Your Own Risk. ​ A 'seditious' Play in a Few Scenes Showing Sanity and Insanity Performed by Actors as Inmates of National Paagal Khaana. - By order of Toba Tek Singh' ​. ​
