Event Description : THEATRE "Aaj Kabir" Hindi Play based on Bhisham Sahni's 'Kabira Khara Bazaar Mein'

About the play : Fifteenth century Kabir lashed out on social evils of his time in which casteism and communalism were very prominent. He criticised the hollowness and hypocrisy of religious communities that claim to find God in rituals which are discriminatory and inhuman. Today after six centuries we are witnessing a sharp rise in communal and caste violence. The play tries to show how Kabir would have reacted on this. Lets listen to the fearless voice of Kabir in today's time.
