TALK "Indian Built Heritage: Key Role in Sustainable Urban Development"
As part of Architecture and Society Series

Speaker: Olga Chepelianskaia, climate resilient urban development consultant to the UN & INTACH. With less than 1% of heritage buildings protected in India, rapid demolition is a commonplace scenario. Yet, built heritage can help address matters of prime importance to Indian urban development: resilience, poverty reduction, social cohesion, economic growth, sustainable planning and design. Context and steps to harness on this rich potential will be discussed with references to Indian and international examples. Moderator: M. N. Ashish Ganju

Collaboration : Greha Delhi
