Event Description : KIDS WORKSHOP "Reading Challenge".

Manisha Dak, a professional with 15 years of experience, works as an Academic Manager North India with the British Council in New Delhi. Her workshops emerge from her vast experience of working with children of all age groups in various contexts, in-depth study of how children and adults learn and passion for education and training. The much awaited reading initiative is back again under the flagship ‘Reading Challenge’ 2017, Big Friendly Read. It will feature some of Roald Dahl's best-loved characters and the amazing artwork of his principal illustrator, Sir Quentin Blake. It will encourage reading on a giant scale and highlight six key themes - invention, adventure, mischief, word play, child champions and friendship - that are explored in Roald Dahl's most famous books. Children will be encouraged to expand their own reading by exploring similar themes, fantastic facts, characters and stories across the best contemporary children's writing. Children will be awarded with a Medal and Certificate from Reading Agency, UK on successful completion of this programme.
