Event Description : "LangFest 2017" International Conclave on Mother Tongue. 

A three-day Indian classical language conclave-- LangFest 2017 to celebrate India’s rich linguistic traditions and to find a way forward for them in a digital age.
The conclave organized by The Intellects, a forum of progressive individuals based in the National Capital Region, will see scholars of Tamil, Sanskrit, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Odia discuss how to establish better coherence among Indian languages and explore new dimensions of their growth.
The three-day long conclave organized at the ICCR’s Azad Bhavan, will encompass panel discussions, interactive sessions, film & documentary screenings, and presentation of “Ama Gaurab” and “Amari Bhasha Pathe” Awards.
Students from different universities across India will participate in the conclave through the National Youth Integration Program and will share their ideas and on the eve of International Mother Language Day (IMLD) which is observed on on 21st February every year.
A multi-lingual souvenir will be published on this occasion containing challenges, opportunities, achievements and innovations occurring in the arena of the Indian classical languages.
