Welcome to my world: A land of exquisite beauty, sizzling, vibrant nature and a myriad hues. As you walk among the exhibits, an aroma of shades will engulf your senses, served on a palette of canvases.
An artist is a receptacle of emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, living beings, from a scrap of paper, a passing shape or the dance of waves on a beach. The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere, far from where he lives or a few feet away, at his doorstep.
I have been inspired by the changing colors of the sky with the passing seasons, the ominous clouds of an approaching thunderstorm, the flight of birds across the sky and the powerful trajectory of the majestic eagle. Walking through parks in Delhi, driving to nearby cities, rowing along the Ganga in Varanasi and Allahabad or breathing in the spectacular beauty of sea beaches, all have been a source of ideas for my creations. Many of my subjects are people I have photographed in a magical moment of time. Scraps of paper from magazines and newspapers enclosed between the pages of textbooks over the past decades have led to the genesis of few paintings.
