Event Description : Instituto Cervantes presents
Flamenco “Pas de deux” by Tamara Lucio y Juanma Zurano (baile), Vicente Gelo y Manue Romero (cante), José Manuel Martos (guitarra)
As part of 'MUSIC AND PERFORMING ARTS' series.

Synopsis: Dancers Tamara Lucio and Juanma Zurano only recently crossed their paths as
dancers, but they immediately noticed that they had a special connection on stage, following the ways of mythical flamenco dance partners such as Rosario and Antonio. Until they met, each one of them was working on their proper career: she as an ex student and professor of the school of the Fundación Cristina Heeren, and him as a dancer of companies such as the ones of Eva la Yerbabuena or Andres Peña. They have decided to mix together and create this show “Paso a Dos” (Pas de Deux), that combines pas de deux and solo numbers. Together they will dance choreographies of Malagueñas with Abandolaos and Cantiñas. The solos dances will be a Soleá for Tamara, and a Taranto for Juanma. They will be accompanied by singers Vicente Gelo and Manuel Romero, and guitarist Jose Manuel Martos. Heeren.

About the artists: Tamara Lucio was born in 1981 in Rota. She studied at Fundación Cristina
Heeren, and with Milagros Mengíbar, Carmen Ledesma, Úrsula López, Manolo Soler, José
Galván, Javier Barón y Rafael Campallo, as well as other teachers. Tamara style is
predominantly from the Sevillan school along with all the styles from Cádiz. She is a dancer with a great sense of “compás” (flamenco rythims). She is currently teaching choreography and dance technique at the Fundación Cristina Heeren.
