Event Description : The Alkazi Foundation for the Arts in association with Goethe-Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan (Delhi) is delighted to invite you for a walkthrough with Kamalika Bose and Tanvi Mishra of : EXHIBITION "Calcutta: Chitpur Road Neighbourhoods | A Kolkata Heritage Photo Project" photography exhibition of unique handmade pigment prints by twenty one German photographers at Triveni Kala Sangam, 205, Tansen Marg > 22nd January to 18th February 2016

Brief about the speakers:

Kamalika Bose is an urban conservationist with ten years of experience in heritage-oriented planning and advocacy, design education and research. She is a Fulbright Scholar, and was formerly Assistant Professor at CEPT University, Ahmedabad. She obtained a Masters in Historic Preservation Planning from Cornell University. Kamalika has gained international work experience in areas of neighbourhood preservation and cultural heritage through positions at Historic Districts Council, New York and Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, New York. She is currently based at the Urban Design Research Institute (UDRI) in Mumbai. 

Tanvi Mishra is an independent photographer based out of New Delhi, India. Her publications and clients include Der Spiegel, Le Figaro, Sunday Guardian, Tehelka, CARE France and Getty Images. She is also interested in curatorial practice from a practioners's perspective. She is on the photo editorial team of PIX Quarterly, a thematic photography publication and exhibition space. She curated ‘Postcards from the Interior’, a group show of Indian and Singaporean artists and was also on the team for the Delhi Photo Festival (2013 & 2015) as well as Travel Photo Jaipur (2016).
