Event Description : Come & Join “Songs & dances of the North East” (SDNE Fiesta) is a cultural festival presented by the Government of Meghalaya and sponsored by the North Eastern Council.
It is organized to showcase the rich vibrant, cultural ethnicity and diversity of North East India. This festival takes North East and its heritage outside North East and to the world. It is a daylong festival where visitors experience almost everything North East from food, songs, dances, culture, and much more. The goal is to deliver, engage and exhibit the best of North East in a creative and exciting atmosphere bringing the people together under one platform of unified diversity.
Witness the grandness of each state as they set up their stalls and display a plethora of the finest products from the North East for the world to discover. Free dance sessions are conducted for people to engage and learn the various dances of the North East tribes. Also, there is a photo opportunity where visitors get to become North Easterner for a day by slipping into their traditional dresses and sharing the North Easterner side of them.
