In the context of brokenness of Time

The first decade of the 21st century is over, but still there is no end to conflict and war. This panel discussion looks back at the last century - a period where more people have died in war and conflict than ever before in human history - to examine how one should react/respond to or resist the tragedy of suffering.
The realities of war-torn regions in the 21st century are grim and living in these regions means to live in pain and suffering in a world that has lost its innocence. While the story of war, destruction and death crosses temporal boundaries, what remains is a civilisation that longs for justice. There are two diametrically opposed views of war as perceived by men and women. Wars make men heroes if they win but if they are vanquished they do not live to see their wives widowed, children deprived of a loving father, their homes taken. Women, who are victimised by the tragedies caused by war and death, know how difficult it is to separate the personal and the political. For them, the act of lamenting can be a weapon to respond to and resist the evils of war and loss.

From 11:00 to 17:00 there will be a screening of videos on a loop, including:
Networking on the Wall by Cecila Persperg, Sweden | Lamentation. 1976, USA by Martha Graham
