Event Description : "Like the Wind (Come il Vento)" film screening.

Inspired by a true story, Like The Wind narrates 15 years of Armida Miserere's life, a woman who with determination and grit, but also personal suffering, was one of the first woman to become governor of prison. Armida Miserere, after suffering the loss of her loved one, found herself on the front line in the fight against crime, governing the most dangerous jail in Italy, while struggling to find the truth and to get justice. The film is conceived as long flashback that highlights the most important moments of her life in the attempt to unveil her mystery.

Marco Simon Puccioni - Director, screenwriter and professor who has made several short films and documentaries with a strong interest in a cinema tied to social issues. In 1996 he founded the association ‘Cinema Senza Confini’ and conceived ‘Intolerance’, a collective film, against all kinds of intolerance. Puccioni made his full feature directorial debut in 2001 with Quello che Cerchi ("What you are looking for") which was awarded in the festival circuit as one of the best film debut of the year. In 2007, his 2nd feature film “Riparo” participated in the 57th Berlin Film Festival. From 2004-08 he was President of the Association of Directors, engaged in promoting the renewal of Italian cinema and, more recently, is an active member of the association of the 100 authors. In 2013 his 3rd feature film “Come il Vento”, was showcased at the Rome Film Festival and was very well received by the media and public.
