In Saroj Jain words “Sculpture to me is about feeling and content, embodied as form”
Saroj Jain’s latest series of works aptly called “Joy of Life” has an emotion of joy and love….. Varying with each of her expressionist compositions. Her passion for the art has taken “shape and form” in this series of works, driven by the relentless fire she possesses to strive harder and harder.  All her living forms are connected thematically to her expression of that “Joy”, which is symbolically, her “Life”. A common thread that runs through her works is the emotive aspect of her work. She has once more endeavoured to infuse life in the inanimate metal.

About Saroj Jain : Saroj Jain works in the tranquil environment of Triveni Kala Sangam, Delhi and resides in a picturesque house in Gurgaon. She heads the department of sculpture at Triveni and has guided many a budding sculptor. An artist of repute today, she did not, however start as a sculptor. Painting, music, and poetry preceded sculpture. The former, however, failed to hold her interest for long and soon she found her calling in sculpture.  She held her first sculpture show in 1982 and in the same year, won the Sahitya Kala Parishad award. Having spent the prime years of her life pursuing her passion, she has allowed her sculptures mature with her age. Creating art gives vent to an artist’s creative energy but it gives her immense satisfaction when it is viewed and appreciated by masses. Saroj has held numerous shows, some solo and others with artists with similar art aesthetics. Not the one to hold back her creative surge, she looks forward to yet another display of her works titled “Joy of Life”.
