Event Details : Vadehra Art Gallery presents an exhibition of photographs titled “Maestros: Masters of Indian Classical Music” by the renowned photographer Raghu Rai.
In his master series, the artist is exhibiting twelve great masters of Indian classical music including Ravi Shankar, Ali Akbar Khan, Bismillah Khan, Vilayat Khan, Bhimsen Joshi, Kumar Gandharva, , Zakhir Husain and many more.
These works are photographed completely in black and white, each of these seventy-odd images evokes the transcendental quality of the musician’s language, capturing their unique individualistic styles. The photographs are not merely portraits but ‘captured moments or facets’ of each musician’s life, as they ‘lived’ with their music.
