Katha invites you to grow your creative imagination …
That almost all great fiction has been written about the human condition. Whether it is Salman Rushdie, C.S. Lewis, Munshi Premchand, Shreekumar Varma, Bimal Kar, Lila Majumdar or Ruskin Bond, they write about life, raw as it is. So why don’t you give yourself the opportunity of being a wordsmith?
What should you do
Look around you. At all happenings. And write a story/and illustrate the story/or illustrate a story from your perspective. The more imaginative the better.
What can you write about
Just about anything. A fantasy about children and their education. A story for adults. About leaders, teachers, common man, artists, taxi-drivers, rag pickers or business tycoons.
What can you illustrate about
Just about anything. You can illustrate your own story. Or pick up a short story and illustrate – a minimum of three illustrations to be submitted. (Please exclude Panchathantra, folk, mythological and Jatak kathas).
